Chad Bogdewic

Rev. Chad Bogdewic is an ordained pastor in the United Methodist Church.  He was born in Hartford, CT and after his adoption was raised in Beallsville, PA, south of Pittsburgh.  He graduated from Geibel Catholic High School then earned a BS in Business Administration from California University of PA.  After college he earned a Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and a Certificate in Urban Ministry from the Metro-Urban Institute located on PTS’ campus, as well. He later earned a Master of Sacred Theology from the same institution focused on Old Testament theology and Christian social ethics.

Chad has worked in development and management for Centerville Clinics in Fredericktown, PA prior to pastoral ministry.  He has served churches in various settings within Western PA, from rural to urban.  He has also served on committees surrounding race, disability, and is a certified poverty simulation facilitator through Missouri Community Action Network.  Upon feeling called to ministry beyond the local church, Chad found his passion in recruitment and community outreach, to which his bishop appointed him.

Chad is the author of one academic book and various other publications.  He lives in Avalon in the North Boroughs of Pittsburgh with the love of his life, Patty, and their two children, Eliyana, and Jonathan.  Chad enjoys reading, table-top role-playing, and spending time with his family.
