Every year, Students of Central Valley high school donate their time and resources to build a playhouse for Adoption Connection, PA, to raffle off at Garrison Day in Beaver. These students build amazing projects, and the raffle is a highlight of the event! Because these playhouses are donated by Central Valley, 100% of the proceeds from the raffle help youth in foster care. We would like to invite you to build community by supporting Central Valley High School students in this year’s project! Donations of building materials, monetary funds, and gift cards to hardware retailers can help make this year’s playhouse even better!
Check out this list of needed supplies:
- Exterior paint
- Painting supplies (brushes, roller covers, foil)
- 2x4s in 8ft, 10ft, or 12ft lengths
- 16d coated sinkers (nails)
- 1/2in plywood
- Plywood OSB siding (Smartpanel, T-111, or similar)
- 3″ exterior decking screws
- Construction adhesive (liquid nails)
- 8d galvanized spiral nails
- 1-1/4in 18 gauge narrow crown staples
- Shingles (preferably tan)
- 15lb roll of roofer’s felt (tar paper)
- 3″ door hinges (or similar size)
- Door pull
- Aluminum drip edge
- Slaptacker stapler and staples
